  1. Thanks so much for your class, Helene. Best Buy installed 2010 with this new computer, but am having trouble with the date. It seems as though if I select a cell, and type in January 13, 2011, the computer reverts to another way of typing or listing the date. Therefore, I must go into format cells and choose the type of date I want. So much work to do this, and in the event I must type the date in another cell, I must format it again to the correct way of typing the date. The format selected only changes that particular cell. HELP!

  2. You can change the default date format by going to Control Panel, Regional Settings, Date tab, and pick the one you ALWAYS want to use from the date format list.
